🔥 Today’s Focus:
Before the Rain Falls
Pulling Down the Strongholds That Hinder Divine Outpouring
May 05, 2025
With Prophet Frank Udoh
SCRIPTURE READING: 1 KINGS 18:40–46
Key Verse:
“Then Elijah commanded, ‘Seize all the prophets of Baal. Don’t let a single one escape!’ So the people seized them all, and Elijah took them down to the Kishon Valley and killed them there.” — 1 Kings 18:40 (NLT)
In this passage, Elijah ordered the death of all 450 prophets of Baal. Although God had already promised to send rain, that promise wasn’t fulfilled until Elijah had completely removed the false prophets. He destroyed every trace of the evil system that had been challenging God’s authority in Israel. Before the rain came, the opposition had to be cleared out.
Dear friend, as you wait for God’s blessings to show up in your life, it’s important to deal with anything that’s working against you. Tear down any spiritual opposition, fear, sin, or negative influence standing in your way. Don’t ignore the enemy’s tactics—confront and destroy anything that challenges God’s work in your life.
Those prophets of Baal got their strength from Jezebel’s table (see 1 Kings 18:19). They were being supported and fed by evil power. Hear this clearly: every source of strength behind the enemy’s attack on your life will be brought down by fire! Every Jezebel feeding negativity into your journey will fall. God’s judgment will cut off the roots of darkness fighting you.
When the rain finally came, it was not just a light drizzle—it was a heavy, abundant rain. Once the enemy was defeated, God released more than expected. The same will happen for you. When you get rid of the things opposing your breakthrough, God will go beyond what you imagined and bless you more than you asked for.
So take a stand. Let nothing from the enemy survive in your space. Destroy every source of negativity around you and prepare to receive the great outpouring that God has promised.
Declaration:
God’s word will be fulfilled in my life. No evil power will take the glory, in Jesus’ name!
Memory Verse:
“Sit in silence and go into darkness, Queen city of the Babylonians. You will no longer be called the queen of kingdoms.” — Isaiah 47:1
