Title: The Inheritance Is Already Yours
Scripture: “For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.” – Galatians 3:18 (NIV)
Message:
Many believers live as though they are working towards earning their inheritance from God, striving and struggling as if it’s still out of reach. However, the truth of God’s Word reveals something profoundly liberating: the inheritance is already yours!
When you accepted Christ as your Savior, you were adopted into God’s family and became a co-heir with Christ. This means that every spiritual blessing, every promise, and every bit of the inheritance God has for His children is already legally yours.
Ephesians 1:3 (NIV) states, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” Notice the past tense “has blessed” — it indicates that these blessings are already granted to us.
The inheritance we receive through Christ is not dependent on our works or adherence to the law but on the grace and promise of God. Just as Abraham received God’s promise through faith, so do we. The same God who fulfilled His promises to Abraham is faithful to fulfill His promises to us.
Understanding Your Inheritance
1. Spiritual Blessing: Our inheritance includes peace, joy, wisdom, and the presence of the Holy Spirit within us. These blessings equip us to live victoriously in every aspect of life.
2. Authority in Christ: As co-heirs with Christ, we have authority over sin, sickness, and the powers of darkness. We can walk in the victory that Jesus secured for us.
3. Eternal Life: Beyond the blessings in this life, our inheritance includes the promise of eternal life with God, a future where there is no pain, sorrow, or death.
To live in the fullness of your inheritance, it’s important to:
1. Recognize Your Identity: Understand that you are a child of God, co-heir with Christ. This identity comes with rights and privileges that are yours by grace.
2. Walk by Faith: Just as Abraham believed and it was credited to him as righteousness, you must walk by faith, trusting that God’s promises are true and already fulfilled in Christ.
3. Declare God’s Promises: Speak God’s promises over your life. Declare what the Word says about your inheritance and your identity in Christ. This act of faith reinforces your position and aligns your heart with God’s truth.
4. Live in Gratitude: Thank God daily for the inheritance you have received. Gratitude opens your heart to receive more and helps you to live in the reality of God’s blessings.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the incredible inheritance You have given me through Christ. Help me to fully understand and live in the reality of this inheritance. Strengthen my faith to walk in the blessings and authority that are mine as Your child.

Strengthen my faith to walk in the blessings and authority that are mine as Your child. Teach me to declare Your promises boldly and to live each day in gratitude for Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
