TOPIC: YOUR WORDS HAVE THE POWER TO IMPACT ANYTHING!
SCRIPTURE: We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe , and therefore speak(2 Corinthians 4:13).
The Lord Jesus demonstrated complete control over all external situations, including natural forces, during His early ministry. He once walked to a fig tree because He was hungry and was expecting to get some fruit to eat. However, because it was not yet fig season, the tree bore no fruit. According to the Bible, Jesus told the fig tree that no one would ever again consume its fruit. And His followers understood it (Mark 11:14). The lord spoke to a tree, and His disciples heard Him because He spoke so loudly!
Peter attracted the master’s attention to the fig tree the following day after remembering what had occurred the day before and stating, “Master, behold the fig tree which thou cursest is withered away” (mark 11:21). Through his response, Jesus demonstrated to us that we have the power to speak to and change anything. He said: “For verily I say to you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he shall say shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith(Mark 11:23)”
Jesus wasn’t speaking metaphorically in this instance, as many people think. Keep in mind that He had spoken to a tree in the preceding verse! He was repeatedly demonstrating to us the strength and effectiveness of our words. The wind and the seas, fish in the lake, dead bodies, and other things all heard what Jesus said and obeyed Him. With the word of God in your lips, you too have the power to bring about change because, according to 1 John 4:17, “as He is in the world, so are we in the world.” The kind of life you lead is determined by the words you speak in faith!
Whatever the position or circumstance you find yourself in, you may make changes with your words of faith.
PRAYER
Kind Father I appreciate you teaching me your word, which at the beginning of time framed, changed, and restored the disorderly conditions of this earth. Without hesitation or uncertainty, I speak out words of faith about anything that troubles me, and in the majestic name of Jesus, I witness things come to pass physically. Amen.
