Title: “Ending Strong”
Scripture Reading: Philippians 3:13-14 (NIV)
“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Message:
As we approach the end of a season or journey, it’s an opportunity to finish with strength and purpose. Join me in exploring Philippians 3:13-14 and reflecting on the empowering theme of “Ending Strong.”
Paul encourages us to let go of the past, whether it be successes or failures, and to focus on the journey ahead. It’s about learning from the past but not letting it hinder our progress. God’s grace allows us to move forward with hope and determination.
Ending strong requires intentional effort and a forward-looking mindset. Like a runner leaning into the final stretch of a race, we are called to press on toward the goals God has set before us. This involves perseverance, faith, and reliance on God’s strength.
Our journey is not without purpose. God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus, and there is a prize awaiting those who press on with faithfulness. It’s a heavenly reward that transcends earthly achievements—a fulfillment of God’s purposes for our lives.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, as we approach the end of seasons and endeavors, grant us the strength to end strong. Help us to let go of the past, focus on the journey ahead, and press on toward the goals you have set for us. May we find our ultimate prize in the calling you’ve placed on our lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
