🔥 Today’s Focus:
A New Name Through Mercy
📖 Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 62:1–4
Genesis 32:24–30
Revelation 2:17
📌 Key Verse:
“You shall be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow.” — Isaiah 62:2b (NIV)
There are times when life has named us by our pain. We’ve been called “Rejected,” “Unworthy,” “Broken,” or “Forgotten.” Like Jacob, we may carry labels born from our past decisions, weaknesses, or failures. But when mercy steps in, the name once attached to our shame is replaced with a name rooted in divine purpose.
Jacob wrestled with God and came out with a new name—Israel—because mercy met him in his struggle. Mercy did not discard him. Instead, mercy redefined him. No longer the deceiver, he became a prince with God.
God is still in the business of giving new names. Through mercy, your identity is no longer based on your mistakes, your background, or what people have called you. Mercy rewrites your story and calls you Beloved, Chosen, Restored, Anointed, and Favored.
💭 Reflection:
Have you been answering to names God never gave you? Today, allow mercy to rename you. Let go of every false identity and embrace what Heaven calls you.
✅ Live It Out:
Begin to speak your new name aloud. Say what God says about you. Don’t let your past define your future—let mercy rename you in alignment with your divine calling.
🗣️ Declaration:
By the mercy of God, I have a new name. I am no longer who I was—God has renamed me for His glory. I walk in my new identity!
📖 Memory Verse:
“The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the Lord will bestow.” — Isaiah 62:2 (NIV)
