🔥 Today’s Focus:
Covenant of Mercy
📖 Scripture Reading:
Psalm 89:1–4, 28–34
Lamentations 3:22–23
Hebrews 8:12
📌 Key Verse:
“My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.” — Psalm 89:28 (KJV)
There’s a kind of love that doesn’t let go. A kind of mercy that is not fleeting or emotional—it is covenantal. That is the mercy of God. When God makes a covenant of mercy with His children, it’s not based on our perfection, but on His unchanging character.
In Psalm 89, God speaks of David, saying, “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” Even when David stumbled, God’s mercy stood. This is not a license to live carelessly but an invitation to live confidently—knowing that God’s mercy is deeper than your failures and stronger than your weakness.
This covenant of mercy is not exclusive to David. Through Jesus Christ, you have become a partaker of a better covenant, established on better promises (Hebrews 8:6). Mercy has been woven into the very fabric of your relationship with God. Every morning, His mercies are new—not recycled, not second-hand, but freshly assigned for your journey.
💭 Reflection:
Have you been running from God because of shame or guilt? His mercy isn’t seasonal—it’s covenantal. He didn’t choose you because you were flawless. He chose you because of His love, and His mercy keeps renewing that choice every day.
✅ Live It Out:
Approach God with boldness today—not in your strength, but under the covering of His covenant of mercy. Walk free from condemnation and live as one who is deeply, permanently loved.
🗣️ Declaration:
I am a recipient of God’s covenant of mercy. His love will not fail me. His mercy keeps me, restores me, and surrounds me—forever!
📖 Memory Verse:
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV)
