🔥 Today’s Focus:

Mercy Gave Me Another Chance

📖 Scripture Reading:
Jonah 1:1–17; 3:1–3
Lamentations 3:22–23
Micah 7:18–19

📌 Key Verse:
“Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time…”Jonah 3:1 (NIV)


Jonah heard God the first time—but he ran. He disobeyed, fled in fear, and found himself in the belly of a great fish. By every human standard, that should have been the end of his story. But mercy had not finished speaking. Jonah 3:1 begins with one of the most powerful truths in Scripture: “The word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time.”

That is mercy at work.
Mercy doesn’t quit after failure. It doesn’t abandon you because of disobedience. Instead, it waits. It corrects. It rescues. And then, it offers you another chance.

You may have missed it. You may have messed up. But mercy rewinds what judgment would have ended. While man remembers your fall, God prepares your comeback. The same God who gave Jonah a second chance is the One writing your story—and He still uses those who failed forward.


💭 Reflection:

Have you walked away from a divine assignment, ignored God’s voice, or made choices you now regret? Good news: Mercy is not holding that against you. Instead, it’s calling you back—restored, forgiven, and recommissioned.


Live It Out:

Today, receive God’s second chance with humility and boldness. Dust off your calling. Reclaim your voice. Run again—this time, not in fear, but in obedience. Mercy hasn’t counted you out—it’s calling you forward.


🗣️ Declaration:

I thank God for mercy! I’m not disqualified. I’m not forgotten. I have another chance, and I will use it for His glory. I will rise again, by mercy!
