đ„ Todayâs Focus:
God Runs on Mercy
đ Scripture Reading:
Exodus 34:6â7
Psalm 103:8â14
Romans 9:15â16
đ Key Verse:
“The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.” â Psalm 103:8 (KJV)
If God had an engine, it wouldnât run on performance or perfectionâit would run on mercy. From the beginning of creation to this very moment, Godâs dealings with humanity have been deeply rooted in compassion. He is plenteous in mercy, not limited, not reluctant. Mercy is not just what God givesâitâs who He is.
When Moses asked to see Godâs glory, God didnât show thunder or power first. Instead, He declared His nature: âThe Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious…â (Exodus 34:6). Mercy is the foundation of His throne and the atmosphere of His presence.
God doesnât relate to you based on how well youâve performed, how many times youâve failed, or how strong your faith is today. He relates to you through mercy that never fails, mercy that renews every morning, and mercy that draws you closer instead of casting you out.
In your worst moments, when you expect judgmentâmercy shows up. When you fall short, mercy covers the gap. When you feel too broken to pray, mercy bends low and lifts you again. This is the rhythm of Godâs heart: grace extended, mercy poured out.
đ Reflection:
Have you been trying to earn what God already freely gives? Do you approach Him based on merit or on mercy? Today, let His mercy be your confidence.
â Live It Out:
Stop striving and start trusting. Rest in the truth that Godâs love is not earnedâitâs mercifully given. Let mercy guide how you see yourself and how you treat others today.
đŁïž Declaration:
God runs on mercy, and I live by that mercy! I am not condemnedâI am covered. I am not forsakenâI am favored. Every day, I receive fresh mercy for the journey ahead.
đ Memory Verse:
“It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” â Lamentations 3:22â23 (KJV)
