Topic: The Lordship of Jesus!
Scripture: Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).
Message:
Some people only know Jesus as their Savior, but He is much more than that. The Lord! That refers to a Ruler or Master who holds the position of authority and to whom deference and submission are expected. To make Jesus the Lord of your family, business, career, studies, job, finances, and everything else in your life, you must get to know Him and live with Him every day. In other words, let Him to be in charge.
When you declare that Jesus is the Lord of your life, you are not only referring to a person who has absolved you of your sins and provided medical relief. The most important aspect of our salvation is our union and relationship with Jesus. Declaring His authority over us placed us in that magnificent unity with Him and gave us access to His divine life.
Since you have been born again, you must acknowledge Jesus as the supreme ruler of everything, not just your life. Recognize Him as the Lord of your marriage, your finances, and your life’s goals. In all matters pertaining to you, he must have the last say.
Keep in mind that He is the only intelligent God, whose commands you must obey, and whose guidance you must only follow. Accept His Lordship right now and submit to His will, wisdom, and guidance as being supreme.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I recognize you as my Lord, Master and Ruler; the One with supreme authority and preeminence, to whom I owe allegiance. I believe with all my heart and declare with my mouth that you’re Lord over every circumstance and everything that has to do with my life. By the help of the Holy Spirit I’ll walk in the consciousness and revelation of your Lordship over my life everyday! Amen.
