Topic: THE FULLNESS OF THE SPIRIT

Scripture: For him whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the spirit by measure to him. (John 3: 34)

The ancient prophets, priests, judges, and kings all got some degree of anointing when the spirit of God descended upon them. Jesus, however, is described in the Bible as speaking in accordance with what God has revealed, as stated in John 3:34: “For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God.” The fullness of the Holy Spirit, also known as the Anointing, originally manifested itself in Jesus.
Christians have claimed that Jesus alone possessed the fullness of God’s spirit and that the rest of us who have been born again today simply possess a portion of the spirit, not the fullness of God. But that is not accurate in the context of God’s word.

According to the Bible, “and grace for grace has been given to us all in his fullness.” (John 1: 16) Furthermore, the Holy Spirit as a person now resides fully within everyone of us. We therefore possess the fullness of the spirit. The entirety of the Godhead dwells bodily in Christ Jesus, according to the Bible, and in Him we are complete. Colossians 2:10–11
In John 20:21, the same Jesus, who possessed the whole of God’s spirit, told us, “As my Father has sent me, even so I send you.

“Now consider this: if Jesus needed the whole measure of the spirit to complete the task the father sent Him with, and if He sent us in the same manner the father sent Him, why should we just be viewed as having ‘a measure’ of the spirit rather than the fullness?
The human life you were born with from your parents has been entirely replaced by the divine life of God as a new creation in Christ. You are a brand-new kind of divinely endowed being! You have been initiated into the Lord in a vital unity and openness.

You are a brand-new kind of divinely endowed being! You have been initiated into the Lord in a vital unity and openness. Ephesians 3:19 makes clear God’s intent in this regard: “And to understand the love of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, so that you may be filled with all of God.”

PRAYER:

As Jesus is, so am I in this world! When I receive the Holy Spirit I received the full person of the Holy Spirit. I consistently stir up the anointing of God that is in me, which enables me to change circumstances and impact the life of those around me with the gospel of Christ. Amen.
