TITLE: PRAY WITHOUT DISTRACTION
SCRIPTURE: Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees (1Kings 18:42 (KJV)
MESSAGE:
Many Christians may find themselves missing out on the profound manifestation of God’s glory in their lives, primarily because they often approach their moments of communion with the Lord casually. With minds cluttered by distractions, they struggle to maintain the focus needed to hear God’s voice. As James 5:16 in the Bible states, “The earnest and heartfelt prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (James 5:16 AMP).
Prayer should not be reduced to a mere religious monologue, where words flow endlessly until the mind wanders elsewhere. Instead, it should be viewed as a sacred fellowship where one’s spirit connects intimately with the Holy Spirit, aligning with His divine plan for their life.
Consider the story of King Hezekiah, to whom the prophet Isaiah delivered a message from God, declaring his imminent death. Despite the apparent finality of this prophecy, King Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord (2 Kings 20:2). This act symbolized his determination to block out all distractions, demonstrating his earnest desire to change the course of events.
If you aspire to witness the remarkable power of the Spirit in your life, it’s essential to master the art of setting aside the worldly distractions and immersing yourself in focused prayer. Channel all your strength and energy towards communing with the Lord. It’s through this kind of prayer that tremendous power becomes available for transformation in your life.

I thank you dear father, for teaching me your word on the essence of focusing all my energies on you in fellowship, so as to be fully in sync with your spirit ,knowing and walking in your perfect will for my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
