TITLE: PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD
SCRIPTURE: Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
MESSAGE:
Society is founded on trust; we must place our faith in its systems and structures, though not blindly. There are instances of corruption within institutions like the courts, the police, and civil service, yet we rely on their authority to handle disputes. The educational system, too, demands trust as we entrust our children’s education, despite reports of abuse. Some exploit this trust, eroding our societal faith.
The Bible advises against placing our trust solely in earthly leaders and encourages trust in the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 states, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” In a society tainted by degeneracy, it may be necessary to place trust solely in the Lord.
However, trust, akin to faith, should be rooted in God’s Word. It’s crucial to immerse yourself in His Word, especially in today’s world marked by incongruities, depravities, decadence, and immorality. Regardless of societal challenges, place your trust in the unwavering Word of the Lord.
PRAYER
My faith is firmly anchored in the living, active, and triumphant Word. Every circumstance aligns with my faith-filled declarations, and I exercise authority, sovereignty, and dominion over my world through my faith. I’ve embraced the eternal truths of the Kingdom, walking in the abundant blessings of Christ’s Gospel. My life exists for the glorification of God, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
