In a world filled with constant striving and pursuit of more, it’s easy to fall into the trap of discontentment. However, as believers, we are called to find our satisfaction and fulfillment in God alone. In this devotional, titled “What More Do You Want?” let’s explore the timeless truth of finding contentment in God’s provision and presence.
Reflect on the opening verse of Psalm 23, which declares, “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” This powerful declaration reminds us that in God, we lack nothing essential for our well-being. He is our provider, protector, and sustainer, and His provision far surpasses anything the world has to offer.
Consider the areas of your life where you may be tempted to seek fulfillment outside of God’s provision. Whether it’s in material possessions, relationships, or achievements, recognize that true contentment cannot be found in earthly things. The pursuit of more often leads to dissatisfaction and emptiness, while true satisfaction is found in knowing and walking closely with God.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for your abundant provision and constant presence in our lives. Forgive us for the times we have sought fulfillment in things apart from you. Help us to find true contentment in knowing and walking closely with you. Open our eyes to the abundance of blessings already present in our lives, and give us the grace to trust in your goodness and faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
