Topic: Joyful Confessions

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak (2 Corinthians 4:13).

Message

To make the divine provisions of the Gospel made available to you in Christ Jesus your fundamental experience in life, you must acknowledge and confess what God has done for you and in you. Many people live beggarly lives that are far below their calling because they don’t know how to make these “joyful confessions.” A joyful confession is stating what God has said about you; rejoicing and confessing who you are, what you have, and what you can do in Christ!

Others may accuse you of bragging when you enthusiastically declare God’s Word about yourself, but it makes no difference. You are exactly who God says you are! “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye might be rich through his poverty,” says 2 Corinthians 8:9. “Therefore, let no man glory in men,” says 1 Corinthians 3:21. For everything is yours.” In addition, 1 Peter 2:24 says, “Who bare our sins in his body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, might live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

Thus, on the basis of these passages, you should joyfully exclaim, “I refuse to be broke, poor, or sick!” Make this your language today and every day. Remember what Jesus said in Mark 11:23: “You shall have what you say.” As a result, keep talking! Discover how to use your mouth to claim what is already yours in Christ Jesus. Continue to declare who you are in Christ. Demonstrate what God has done for, in, and through you!

The Psalmist said, “I believe, therefore have I spoken” (Psalm 116:10), and our opening verse says, “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and thus speak.” This is because our confessions control us. Continue to make joyful confessions of God’s Word that reveal your identity, ability, and inheritance in Christ Jesus.

Declaration:

I’m what God says I am; His ability, grace and power are working in me and through me mightily today! I have what God says I have, and can do what He says I can do. His Word to me is reality, and that’s the basis for which I know I’ll never be poor, sick, broke or defeated!
