Moments Of Faith Daily Devotional 12 November 2023 By Prophet Frank Udoh

Title: “Light to the Nations”

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 49:6 (NIV)

“He says: ‘It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.'”

Message:
In God’s grand plan, His servants are not only called to minister to a specific people but to be a light to the nations. Today, we explore Isaiah 49:6 and reflect on the profound purpose of being a light that extends God’s salvation to the ends of the earth.

A Global Mission:
God’s vision for His servants goes beyond national boundaries. The call is to bring His salvation, love, and truth to people of every nation, tribe, and language.

Beyond Restoration:
While restoring the tribes of Jacob is significant, it’s “too small a thing” for God’s servants. He intends to make them a light to the Gentiles, expanding the reach of His salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.

Reflection of Christ:
This prophecy finds its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ, who became the light for the nations. As followers of Christ, we are called to continue this mission, shining His light in a dark world.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for calling us to be a light to the nations. Help us to embrace the global scope of your mission, sharing Your salvation, love, and truth with people from every corner of the earth. May our lives reflect the light of Christ. In His name, we pray. Amen.

Further Reading:

Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV) – “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Acts 13:47 (NIV) – “For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'”
May this devotion on Isaiah 49:6 inspire you to recognize and embrace your role as a light to the nations, sharing God’s salvation and love with people from every corner of the earth.
