TITLE: The Divine Sovereignty of Jesus Christ”

SCRIPTURE: He [God] was made visible in human flesh, justified and vindicated in the(Holy) Spirit, was seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, [and]taken up in glory (1 Timothy 3:16 AMPC).

MESSAGE:

In our opening verse, there is no doubt about the identity of Jesus: He is God incarnate, made visible in human form, justified and vindicated by the Spirit, witnessed by angels, preached to all nations, believed in by the world, and ultimately exalted in glory! Hallelujah!

This brings to mind the account of the hurried trial of Jesus in Mark 14:60-63. The high priests collaborated with the Jewish Council in an attempt to find evidence to condemn Jesus to death, but they found none. So, they asked Jesus, “…Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”

Without hesitation, Jesus replied, “…I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of power and coming with the clouds of heaven.” It was for this declaration of His divinity that they sentenced Him to death and took Him away. He boldly asserted His identity as God in human form, which indeed He is. To say “Jesus is the Son of God” is to affirm that He is God incarnate.

God came to us in the form of a human being, and this is what led to His crucifixion. It’s no wonder that Paul declared that the fullness of the Godhead, including the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—the complete Deity—resides in Jesus (Colossians 1:19).

When you stand before the throne of God, you won’t encounter separate beings; rather, you’ll behold Jesus on the throne with the Father dwelling within Him. He is the perfect embodiment of Deity. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Blessed Lord Jesus, you’re God who appeared in human form, believed on in the world, and taken up to heaven. How excellent is your Name in all the earth, O, Lord! You’re the complete embodiment of Deity. I worship you for who you are, and thank you for revealing yourself to your Church. Your glory is everlasting. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
John 10:30-33;
I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

Philippians 2:5-6;
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Colossians 1:19 AMPC
For it has pleased [the Father] that all the divine fullness (the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes) should dwell in Him [a]permanently.

John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
