Title: “The Shepherd’s Care

Scripture Reading: Psalm 23:1 (NIV)

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.”

The metaphor of the Lord as our Shepherd is a source of comfort and assurance. Today, we explore Psalm 23:1, where the psalmist declares that the Lord is our Shepherd, and in Him, we lack nothing.

The Lord as Our Shepherd:
In calling the Lord our Shepherd, the psalmist evokes an image of care, guidance, and provision. A shepherd tends to the needs of the flock, ensuring their well-being.

I Lack Nothing:
The declaration that “I lack nothing” is a profound affirmation of God’s sufficiency. In Him, we find all we need for our physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge you as our Shepherd, the One who cares for us and provides for our needs. We thank you for the assurance that in you, we lack nothing. Help us to trust in your provision and guidance. May we find contentment in your care. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
