TITLE: Opt for Victory
SCRIPTURE: I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live (Deuteronomy 30:19).
MESSAGE
In life, a pivotal decision is always before you: choose victory. Opt for success. When you decide to win, no obstacle in the world can obstruct your path. Yet, the initial step is making that resolute choice, for not everyone elects to triumph.
Some individuals navigate life with mere hopes of a favorable outcome, without consciously aiming for victory. They might say, “If I’m lucky, I’ll make it.” But wait not for luck. God’s children don’t rely on luck; we walk in God’s grace and blessings.
Others may assert, “I won’t choose, neither victory nor defeat.” However, not choosing victory is akin to choosing failure. How can you assist others if you don’t choose to win? The world harbors more in need than in prosperity. To uplift others, you must first ascend.
Only those who are elevated can elevate others. So, where do you aspire to be in life? On which side of the street do you wish to dwell? The Scriptures grant us the right to choose and guide us toward the better option.
Observe, in our opening verse, it doesn’t say, “Choose whatever seems fine”; it reveals the superior path and instructs us to embrace it. You can elect to succeed at any stage of life.
Are you a student, employed, or a business owner? Make the decision to excel and attain the highest echelons of success. God will lead you on an upward and forward journey towards success, one step at a time.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I purpose to walk in your ways, harmonizing my thoughts, words, and deeds with your divine plan. I am not subject to luck or chance; instead, I stride along the path of victory, promotion, strength, health, and excellence. I navigate life’s journey guided by your Word, bringing honor and glory to your Name. Amen.
FURTHER STUDY:
Deuteronomy 30:19 (AMPC) – “I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses; therefore, choose life, that you and your descendants may live.”
1 Samuel 17:32-37 – David assured Saul, “Let no one’s courage waver because of this Philistine; I, your servant, will confront and battle him. You may think I’m just a youth, and he’s a seasoned warrior, but I’ve faced danger before, defending my father’s sheep. I overcame a lion and a bear that threatened the flock. The God who delivered me from the paws of those beasts will also rescue me from this uncircumcised Philistine who defies the armies of the living God. The Lord, who safeguarded me from the lion and the bear, will be with me against this Philistine.” Saul granted David permission to go, saying, “May the Lord be with you.”
