TITLE: The Master Takes Center Stage
SCRIPTURE: And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved (Matthew 10:22).
MESSAGE
When studying the passage in Matthew 17:24-27, we can observe that when Jewish officials confronted Peter regarding taxes, their focus was not on Peter’s taxes, but they inquired, “Doesn’t your Master pay tribute?” This highlights that their attention was on the Master, Jesus Christ.
Throughout history, the world’s opposition has been directed toward our Master. The world’s hostility isn’t due to who we are as individuals but stems from our representation of Jesus Christ. Your faith in Him may lead to others disliking you. Regardless of your goodness, helpfulness, kindness, or success, the association with Jesus Christ is what matters to them.
This enmity, often attributed to Satan’s hatred for Jesus, is known as the spirit of the world. Even those unfamiliar with Jesus can harbor this hatred because they are influenced by the spirit of the world, causing them to regard the Master with animosity.
Although people may desire religion, prayer, and belief in something, they vehemently reject Jesus when introduced to Him. Simeon referred to Jesus as “a sign that shall be spoken against” (Luke 2:34).
Today, some label proclaiming Jesus as the only way as “hate speech,” paving the way for potential persecution of Christians in the future. As Jesus mentioned in Matthew 10:25, those in His household may face even greater opposition than Him. In times of persecution, remember that you are sent in the Name of Jesus, and He will be your defender and reward.
DECLARATION
I am an ambassador for Christ, carrying the message of His redemptive power. I stand firm, unshaken, and tirelessly dedicated to the Lord’s work, regardless of worldly challenges or persecution. I find victory and glory in Him consistently, fearlessly declaring the righteousness and blessings found in Christ’s saving grace to all corners of the globe. Amen!

Matthew 10:24-25 NIV “The student is not above the teacher, nor a servant above his master. 25 It is enough for students to be like their teachers, and servants like their masters. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebul, how much more the members of his household!
