TITLE: LOVE AND HUMILITY IN YOUR HEART

SCRIPTURE: But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble (James 4:6).

MESSAGE:

The Bible emphasizes that God examines the heart, discerning its thoughts and intentions. It urges us to constantly monitor our hearts, removing anything inconsistent with our divine nature. God desires to find love and humility within us.

He encourages us not to judge or treat others with disdain but to have faith in them, believing that the Lord can use them just as He can use us. When others achieve something commendable in our family, workplace, or church, we should avoid disdain and sincerely celebrate their accomplishments.
We are urged to bless, praise, and worship the Lord when He works remarkably in another person’s life, even when they seem more esteemed than us. Their success doesn’t equate to our failure, so we should rejoice for them. God rewards such love and humility with promotion and exalts the humble.
Regardless of what God accomplishes through us, He warns against pride. We should be proud of Him and His work in our lives but should never elevate ourselves above others. Romans 12:3 advises us not to think too highly of ourselves but to maintain sober thinking in line with the measure of faith given to us.
Verse 10 encourages us to show affection and honor to one another, preferring others above ourselves. Proverbs 22:4 highlights that humility and reverence for the LORD lead to riches, honor, and life.

In conclusion, strive to be recognized as a person characterized by love, grace, excellence, and humility, following the teachings of the Bible.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come before you with a heart filled with love, grace, excellence, humility, and kindness. I acknowledge and celebrate your beauty, glory, and greatness reflected in others. In everything I undertake, I strive for pure motives, free from selfishness.

I genuinely rejoice in the achievements and successes of those around me, refraining from the temptation to compare myself to others. I understand that I am unique, and my life’s purpose is to bring glory to your name.

Hallelujah, for your abundant blessings and guidance in my life.

Amen.
