Title: Taking Inspiration from Esther

Scripture:

“Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.” – Esther 4:16 (King James Version)

Message:

In Esther’s fourth chapter, the narrative unfolds as she, now queen, blissfully resides in the palace. Unbeknownst to her, Haman, a nefarious figure in the king’s cabinet, issues a decree to exterminate the Jews, including Esther. It’s only when her uncle, Mordecai, sends a urgent message that Esther grasps the gravity of the situation. Mordecai’s poignant question, “…who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” prompts Esther to realize her divine placement for a crucial purpose.
Facing the risk of death, Esther defies the law to approach the king on behalf of her people, declaring, “if I perish, I perish.” This bold resolve marks her victorious moment. Much like Esther, there are pivotal moments in your Gospel journey where fear shouldn’t hinder decisive actions. Embrace these moments, stand firm on God’s Word, and leverage His grace to impact others. Face challenges boldly, make courageous choices, and be willing to confront anything for the sake of righteousness.

Prayer:

Gracious Father, I express gratitude for the doors of opportunity you’ve opened, enabling me to impact the world positively and secure victories for others. I acknowledge and embrace the abundant grace bestowed upon me to lead others to triumph and fulfill their purpose in life and ministry, all in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.

Further Reading:

Romans 15:1 – “As the strong, it is our duty to bear the infirmities of the weak, not seeking our own pleasure.”

Esther 4:14-16 – “Should you remain silent in this critical time, deliverance for the Jews will arise elsewhere, but you and your household may face destruction. Who knows if you haven’t come to the kingdom for such a pivotal moment? Esther responded by gathering the Jews, fasting for three days, and courageously approaching the king, risking her life with the words, ‘If I perish, I perish.'”
